Recording videos from your headset

Friday is here, which means another pro-tip! We’ve had a few users ask how we record our mixed reality content and the settings we use—so here it is!

The process is very simple:

1. Hit the meta quest button on your controller
2. Click record
3. Capture the crisp

For getting those files off your headset is also pretty straightforward which Meta has documented here, but here is the gist:

1. Connect your headset to your computer (for mac you’ll need to install a file transfer app which is in the link above)
2. Allow your headset to connect to the computer by clicking on the notification
3. Navigate to This PC/[Your Quest Device]/Internal shared storage/Oculus/VideoShots to get your videos
