Import models from Chief Architect

We recently got a question from a user if it is possible to import models from Chief Architect into Arkio on the Quest 3.
Depending on your software export capabilities, models can be loaded to Arkio directly or via an in-between conversion step. 2D floorplans and sections from your design can be converted to JPG or PNG images that can be loaded directly via the Arkio cloud.

We recommend looking for the export steps on your original software support pages. If it’s possible to export your files to open 3D formats like Collada, you can convert this to Arkio-compatible OBJ, glTF and GLB formats using free mesh editing tools like Blender.

If you can load your models into Sketchup, Rhino and Revit, you can also use Arkio’s plugins to import your 3D models into Arkio via those tools (requires Arkio Pro).
