Installed 1.9 and now it crashes on launch

@theredmage sorry for the delay in getting back to ya! We needed to pick at this edge condition a bit more, but a solution has (potentially) come to life We are suspecting that the desktop version of Arkio you have might have been installed through the Meta Quest desktop app, which is not updating…

The investigation continues!

Ah this helps a good deal and I think I know what the issue is, so put that Rift S back on the shelf. With the trial license it only supports 1 device running at a time. It is a floating license so you can assign it to multiple machines but it will boot you out if there are more than 1 active licenses.

Could you also give me a sense of what your setup was? It would be good to know what devices you’re using (desktop, headset, etc) and how it’s running on your machine.

Also, could you uninstall and then reinstall Arkio? I’m wondering if there was a hiccup during the update process and some old libraries might not have been cleared properly.

Ohh good catch, I haven’t seen this issue on my machines but let me ping the team. Will report back asap!

Best approach for simple landscaping

@Colin_Jones welcome to the community and thank you! . Okay, so this is a bit of a tough one to explain since there are a few ways to approach modeling topography.

Both ways would work. One thing that is somewhat hidden is the green table can be edited like a regular Arkio geometry, so you could use that to help you with your models.
